its not finished, please feel free to give me advise on how to finish it and please please correct it for me. thanks In the process of recalling my childhood days, I was reminded of a day that changed my life, leaving me every alone. It was a tardy Saturday afternoon, thunder and lightning split the dark sky, illuminating the dark skeleton trees. The trees swayed in the bursting wind that looked as if they wanted to break from their roots and run away. I looked around to look the houses, the gray sky made the newest buildings look old and frail. I turned to my parents but to my surprise they were too excited to notice their surroundings. I did not want to interrupt them and turned my head towards the new home. It was a big old gloomy home that looked like it was abandoned and neglected. I could hear a tiny popping sound coming from the pond as if something is still alive. It felt like the home was studying me through the eyes of an bad old man. I was interrupted by my dad, who looked at me with worried eyes, “Ozzie, don’t worry, the home needs some work, but it will take no time to fix it, and as I promised, you will pick the room you want, and we will fix it before any other room”. I looked at my dad, and felt sorry for him. He had no other choice but to change his job because of some problems that occurred where we used to live. He found this home which is supposed to be both cheaper and bigger than our old home. I didn’t want to move from our old town that I shared unforgettable memories with, but I didn’t want to make it difficult for my parents, and didn’t resist their idea of moving. As for my mum, she did not mind moving to a new home, because she liked the idea of having a bigger and more ‘comfortable’ home. We continued towards the home. I suddenly felt a foreboding icy wind blew fiercely as I grimly headed for the door, which made me turn around. To my surprise I saw people staring at us, with piercing eyes that made me shiver. I thought to myself “what’s wrong with them, have they never seen human beings move to a new home?” I didn’t pay much attention to them and hurried towards the home. As I entered the home, I heard a noisy creak noise, I continued in and up the wooden stairs, to look for a nice room that would suit me. As I reached the second floor, the second room to the left grabbed my attention. The room was very different to the other rooms. It was much brighter, with white painted walls and a big built in wardrobe. As I was reaching to open the wardrobe, I suddenly saw a darting shadow from the corner of my eye. I decided to go closer to the window; a icy chill of fear went through me. I walked slowly towards the, I could hear nothing but my heart beating in my ears.

Resolved Question: Why is Obama taking a vacation instead of helping pass Healthcare Reform?

President Obama who's fixated on healthcare reform was actually going to leave the country now at a time when Democrats are at the end game of trying to receive this Bill through. His trip is a personal trip and he just decided yesterday to cancel it. He's got Democrats who may not be re elected because they're backing this Bill working 24/7 to receive it passed and he decides to visit Indonesia to visit where he lived as kid for awhile. I'm trying really difficult to try to figure out why Obama feels he can take a personal trip when he's spent the last year ignoring the economy while people who are suffering job losses and losing their homes because he's had tunnel vision about Healthcare Reform. To me it's like the Coach taking a vacation when his team is in the Super Bowl. My question is: If you're pro Obama do you feel less confident about him and if you're not do you feel he's giving the voters more ammo to make him a one-term President after reading the Press Release below: Obama's scheduled trip to Indonesia, Guam and Australia will be pushed back from March 18 to March 21 and he'll return March 26, instead of March 24. Press secretary Robert Gibbs had insisted earlier that Congress act by March 18 — Obama's original departure date. But the White home backed off that as Democratic leaders scurried to round up votes.

Open Question: What is American Culture in the mind of a Conservative?

I constantly hear Cons complain that others are not living by our countries culture when they immigrate here! yet when I look around my community, i don't look one single culture, but many different cultures cohabiting peacefully! my next door neighbors are Thai, they talk very little english, but their son is fluent in both languages, they are buddist and only store in the cultural centre downtown! my neighbors on the opposite side are an American born white couple, they are atheists, in an open-marriage, and hear to rap music! And I am the daughter of two Romanian immigrants, both of whom were Orthodox Catholic, yet allowed me to pick my possess faith so i wouldn't be indoctrinated into something I don't believe in as a child! I became a convert to Islam when I was 24, am now married to Unitarian Universalist, we have two kids, and a live in nanny who is also an undocumented worker! Just in these three houses we have people of verydifferentt faiths, cultures, and beliefs! so when Con's say they are againstmulticulturalismm, do they really mean they are against otherculturess getting equal play and press with theirs? so when Con's say they are against multiculturalismm, do they really mean they are against other cultures getting equal play and press with theirs? actually Bethy I live in a suburban gated community! secondly I don't know a single immigrent that adrhered to the hillbilly culture of Topeka, Kansas! or the great mormon state of Utah! ;-)

Open Question: Feedback for these characters?

This question was originally deleted a couple times...oh well, here goes... just some characters from an upcoming Avatar story no big deal.But could use some feedback: Tess Henderson- Mostly runs errands such as getting coffee for example. Tess is a typical red head and part time journalist from Chicago.She's rather even tempered and surprisingly gets along with Parker Selfridge. When she's not on the job, Tess writes short stories and reads 'Digital photography for dummies' Often times Tess starts up a conversation when things receive silent; which has worked a few times. Interests: flowers, kittens, B.L.T. sandwiches, playing scrabble and doing crossword puzzles. Actress of choice- Cassidy Freeman(Tess Mercer-Smallville season 8-9) Gen- Found wandering outside the fence, Gen's parents were taken in and shipped to earth. Some time later Gen was born at a wildlife reserve outside of Tokyo. Having spent most of his life around humans he's rather friendly towards them. Gen's name is actually 'Gin' which is Japanese for silver but due to a typo on his I.D. tag his name is spelled with an 'E' in the middle instead of an 'I'. Gen's stripes are also more silver/gray than dark blue, his hair is diluted black; he also has bi-color eyes. His left eye is blue and his right one is yellow; he also speaks both Japanese and English. Though he might look scary he's been described as being an 'overgrown home cat'. Interests: Running, shrimp, watching the sunset, dragonflies and doing word search. Actor of choice-Jackie Chan Mara- Unlike Gen's parents Mara's are 'domestic'(i.e. like dogs, cats,etc...). Born at a kennel in White plains, NY, Mara has been around humans since she was only a few minutes old. Although she's been mistreated by some of her handlers. As a result she is afraid of people and will either run with her tail between her legs or growl. Mara is mostly on the silent side but once she's gotten to know certain people she will talk up and enjoys being rubbed behind her ears. Though Mara has black hair and yellow eyes one thing makes her stand out is she has spots like a leopard instead of stripes. Her ears also flop instead of standing up.Mara also has a tendency to chase her tail. Though she is rather jumpy at times she's somewhat even tempered and silent for the most part. Interests: Watching the sunrise, crickets, steak and playing checkers. Actress of choice-Sabrina Labeauf (The Cosby show) Rita Makaba(Pronounced 'Ma-kay-ba')- Like Mara, Rita's parents are domestic; born and raised in Southern California. Although they interacted with humans on a daily basis, Rita and her parents weren't allowed to go ut in public. When she got older Rita took a course in para legal. Rita's eyes are green and her hair is black as well as her ears. She and Mara also have paw print shaped brand marks on their upper left arms(basically they were branded). Rita is easygoing but has her moments where she 'tells it like it is' she also likes dogs. Interests: Dogs, watching TV, walking on the beach and chocolate(tried it once). Actress of choice- Tichina Arnold(Everybody hates Chris) Richer- A red and white blue eyed siberian husky owned by Norm Spellman. Richer is a show dog from Sna Francisco but hasn't been to a dog show in a while. He's a friendly, outgoing and playful young dog but once in a while trips over himself or gets his collar caught on something like a hook for example. Although he is a husky he prefers sitting on the sofa over pulling a sled. Interests: Fetch, watching TV, milk-bones and listening to Ray Charles albums. Voiced by: Cedric the Entertainer(he's done several movies including Maurice the lemur in Madagascar) That's just a few but could use some feedback, another character that's up for consideration is listed below: Kona(At first it was a nickname but then it stuck after a while), she mostly goes by Kona since almost anybody she meets claims her real name is 'a mouthful to pronounce'. Kona is also the dominant female/leader of the eastern sea clan(the one in the pink dashiki in the scene where the group is introduced). Though Kona is pretty laid back she does manage to keep a straight face when she needs to. She's friends with Awakey(aka the horse clan leader). Kona has also taken a liking to Raggae singers such as Bob Marley, Sean Paul and Shaggy as well as Patti Labelle, due to listening to Norm's Ipod(more than once).Parker Selfridge and a few others sometimes call her 'Pink panther' mostly as a joke. Interests: Hiking, walking on the beach, sleeping, chocolate(got a hold of a hersey bar) and dogs. Actress of choice- Dawnn Lewis(A different world) Still don't know about adding Kona to the storyline but she's not the only character being considered. But could use some feedback on the ones here. Open Question: Something strange about me and what I do. Yet, I have seen other people do this as well.?

By other people, I am talking of some of my friends. I myself have never been allowed to do things like put posters of girls on my walls. Looking at a Victoria's Secret magazine was something that I felt I had to look over my shoulder doing. I was never "doing" anything. Just looking through the pages of thes gorgeous women. I recenlty began attending college. every my life I have been unlucky, made fun of and bullied as well as shy. I feel that I have somewhat been sheltered my entire life. It's as if I am not llowed to kiss a girl and that would be bad. It might not be the case but thats how I always felt when I discussed these things with members of my family. My dad died when I was young leaving me with a controlling mom. I have few friends as it has been that way my whole life. Then, something happened. Started back two years ago when I was 16, I began putting pics of girls from Victoria's Secret up on the computer screen. The silly part is, that it's my mom's computer. I did this becuase I used it most of the time. Like 80% of the time. Now I use it 30% but still use it. I NEVER got yelled at for having them nor spoken to. I'm white. Growing up in my home, interracial relationships are a no no. But every my existence I had a special place for asian women. I adore girls of every races and nationalities. So about 7 months ago, I have been experimenting with this non VS model who is Korean, Natasha Yi. I'll post some of the pics of her to better help explain what I am using. So the questions here are, A). Why do I feel comfortable doing this? B). Why do I leave them up there 100% of the time even when not using the computer? C). Am I in a way, getting back? Does not eating veggies make you have your hair easy to tug out...or make u have white hair??? If it does....any way getting your hair back to normal? one of my very close friends...sorta....have abit of white hair on the top....and she gets realllly glum when people ask 'why do u hav white hair'. she keeps dying it dark brown but in a few weeks you can start to look she has white hair again...anyway to reverse it...so she doesnt hav white hair??? so there's this boy that goes to my church. we've been friends since we were like 8ish... i'm 16 now (17 in may) and he's 17 (18 in june) anyways... i like him and he knows it. he's not allowed to date though... his dad is really strict. he's the sweetest guy i know. we hang out alot... never alone though... there's always other people around. if we're standing around with other people and i go to look at him... i always catch him staring at me with dazed look on his face but then he looks away real quick. i have two younger sister and he has two younger brothers... and since we were very young we've played home together... yes, weird i know... but no comments please. we've just kinda continued that tradition and everytime our families receive together we still play that. and when my play i'm the wife and he's the husband... and he always calls me like: hun, babe, sweetie. lol. final story... yesterday we had youth group and i'm recovery from a severe knee injury. i have a knee brace on my leg n stuff. so yesterday we were playing pictionary at youth and we had to put the white board on the ground. so after i got done drawing one round and i was trying to receive up off the ground... he runs over to me with his hand reached out and says... "heyyy do you need a hand??" by that point i was already standing up sooo i was like "awww no thanks" <3 so yea... i really like this boy and i wish he likes me... so wut do you think?? my point to the question is... does he like me? duhhhh!

Open Question: What can I do about corrupt local government?

My husband and I bought a foreclosure home in January 2009 in a wealthy, retired, and predominantly white part of town. My husband and I are neither wealthy nor retired, in fact we are only 25. Shortly, after buying our home we had some friends who lost their jobs and could not afford a place to live. So, we let them move in with us (for free:no rent, no lease agreement, no seperate apartments). The city then informed us that it was illegal to have unrelated people living in our home. My husband and I started having meetings with code and building officials, started going to city council and planning meetings, and eventually hired a lawyer. Here we are now over a year later and we have found out that almost every political official in our city of Kankakee, Illinois is corrupt. From the city planner, council board members, the mayor, judges and even the first attorney we hired. It seems as if everyone is in "bed" together. My husband and I have been able to receive absolutely no where with this and we are still facing discrimination and corruption by the city government in every areas. We can't receive building permits and the city government singles us out to jump through every hoop imagineable to receive anything done. It is to the point where our local lawyer does not want to help us anymore for fear of never being able to work in this town again. Please Help! What can we do?

Hi guys. This is the first chapter in a book I've written. It is 176 pages long and completed. Tell me what you think of the first chapter. *** Chapter 1 The TV ebbed it's translucent light, making the darkness retreat. I wasn't paying attention, far to engrossed with the mobile phone I held in front of me. Mum was sitting to my left, curled up on the sofa with a blanket thrown over her. She was watching some sappy romance that I wasn't interested in. I was opening an unread text when mum suddenly spoke. “Chase's mom called.” Mum said it casually, but I could hear the strain in her voice. I glared at her angrily and swept a brown curl out of my face. “Not silly, mum.” I growled and tossed the phone onto a cushion beside me. Crossing my arms, I slumped further into the armchair. “I'm serious. You were at school when she rang. I forgot to tell you.” My head snapped up. “What? Did she leave a number?” I sat on the edge of the seat, my hands curled into fists. I knew I sounded hysterical, but I didn't care. Mum shook her head. “She called on a private phone.” I shrank back. “Oh.” Chase, the runaway boyfriend who hadn't even bothered to call. His mom had rang my mum, and she knew something I didn't. “That boy really isn't good for you, Cassie.” Mum said tensely. Before I could answer, she had snatched the remote from me and had turned the sound up. Like that was going to cease me. “And so you've told me.” I replied, rolling my eyes. I glanced at mum and noticed her jaw seemed tight. Her eyes darted over the screen and I couldn't help but notice the beads of sweat that had formed on her wrinkled forehead. “No, Cassie. It's not like that anymore.” Mum said. “Oh, it's not is it?” I snapped. On the TV, the weatherman with the unusually white teeth declared another rain spattered day. Great, I thought, More time stuck inside. Mum opened her mouth to talk, but stopped. “No, it's not,” She said slowly. “Chase was found unconscious on the wharf, naked.” “Your kidding...” Mum had turned the TV off and she was now facing me. “Traces of cocaine and alcohol were found in his system. They aren't sure yet if others were involved, but they're still focusing on waking him up,” She looked at me anxiously. Probably fearing a tantrum coming on. “I would've told you earlier, but I didn't know if you could handle it.” Anger, embarrassment, betrayal. A dangerous concoction of emotions brimmed and I felt the urge to slap my mom. How dare she lie to me? Chase was seventeen, he couldn't legally buy drinks. He didn't have stupid friends either. It was not in his nature to receive caught up in this stuff. Silently, I threw the blanket off me and blundered to my feet. Flinging open the cupboard doors, I pulled on a pair of stylish blue denim jeans and slipped a dark green hooded sweatshirt over my head. I snatched a brush from my bedside table and yanked it through my knotted hair. Mum was standing in the doorway, watching me with pleading eyes. “Cassandra, you can't go outside in weather like this. You'll freeze to death.” I flipped open my phone and punched in a few keys. The tone rang for several seconds before a squeaky voice erupted. “Hello?” “Hi Jess. It's me, Cass,” I said hurriedly. “hear, could you please pick me up?” “What's wr-” She started, her voice reaching a whole new level of high. “I'll explain it every later. Be at my home in five minutes.” I pleaded. “Okay, be there soon.” As I was about to thank her, the line went dead and I stuffed the phone back into my pocket. Mum stood aside as I pushed through the doorway. She took ten dollars from her wallet and pushed it into my hand. “Don't stay out tardy.” “I wont,” I said, pulling my hood over my face and moving out the front door. “It depends on the hospital visiting hours.”

Carter Atkins reclined in the lounge seat, running his fingers on Savannah's leg. She giggled, but felt a little bit uncomfortable. She didn't want to sound like a prude, but it was difficult to receive used to him touching her suggestively. She liked it, but it was still awkward. Carter stared at Savannah's beautiful face. Just a month ago he was taking her to Homecoming, now he was her boyfriend. Reese McKinley and Elisha Carpenter jumped into Andy's grotto pool, splashing water onto Carter and Savannah. The fresh coolness of the water relaxed Carter. It was a perfect day to go swimming. Even though it was October 15, it still felt like summer. He stared at Savannah's perfect body in a white bikini with cherries on it. Her eyes were shielded with her favorite Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, that she had gotten from her step-dad because they were given to him at his job, and her feet were clad in sandals. He leaned over and kissed the part of the cheek where her beauty mark was located. She smiled warmly at him, lifting up her shades to reveal her blackish-brown eyes. They were soulful to look at. She remember when she was in the six grade watching something about Ellen Degenerous and a girl made a remark about her being a "lesbo". Savannah was so mad at the girl that she kicked her and ended up getting sent to the office. Savannah once called a boy "gay" as a joke, but the teacher got mad and told her it was wrong to make fun of someone for being gay. That it was sexual harassment.Ever since then, she had been yelling at kids who made gay slurs. "I'm sorry, Savannah." Carter tried, leaning over to kiss her. "No," Savannah said, scooting over. "I'm black, you're white. It's weird for us to kiss." Just then Andy's mom, Arlene, came in. She had long black hair and caramel eyes. Savannah could look where Andy got his looks from. Open Question: having weird dreams . what do they mean?

i ve had three continued dreams . this is the third part . It was night time and my step dad wanted a picture of a tiger on the floor . ( i am good at painting ) So he told me to please help him paint a tiger .I painted the tiger in a swimming pose . For some reason no one could look the tiger , the paint ing was like invisible on the white marble floor . It wasn't till my step dad painted black around the tiger that it was visible . The after that one of my friends came to visit , along with her came a rock band . then there were other kids form my school there and we were playing tag . the last kid standing won $150.00 . then every one slept on a sofa and there were nun left over and i did not have some where to snooze . My pal who came to visit had a whole bunch of cats that followed her to my home . THE cats lined up my window which took up one whole side of the wall . then this tiny , slender , orange cat with big striped ears , some how came inside my home . it didnt want to be bothered but i still i tried petting it , over and over . at last i picked it up and carried it with its paws up and its white belly facing me . then the cat talked to me . i dont exactly remember what it said . it said " papa ....." idk i think it said "papa , michel jackson , what did he do before he died ?" Open Question: How can I convince my mother to let me do MMA and not traditional karate?

I used to take MMA BUT I recently moved and my mom thought it would be better if I attend a gym/dojo closer to our new home. My mom does not understand the differences between MMA and traditional karate and she thinks they are basically the same thing. I told her at first I did not want to go but I thought it over and decided that doing it would be better than doing nothing at every. So I attended it and have been doing so for a month now. No offense, but it was pretty lame. For one thing, you have delicate little girls running around with brown belts and an overweight out of shape person as sensie. The shihan and his son are pretty good and could easily defeat me in a battle but still I doubt they could defeat the experts in my MMA dojo. For one thing, I am 15 years old and only two people in the class are around my page the relax are like four and five. I am training with four and five year olds. And then, when we spare we aren't allowed to strike to the head. I like MMA better because I the drills, exersizes, ..etc really got me sleepy and stronger. But at this place I dont feel as if I am progressing physically. And on top of that, the fews are unimaginable. I am still a white belt but in order to test for my next belt I have to pay 50 dollars. If the belt itself cost 50 dollars its understandable BUT the test itself is 50 dollars and Ive seen people who did not pas the test and they had to retest and retest and retest again for a 50 dollar fee. I am not trying to brag or anything, because SOME of the people their are talented but the majority simply arent. I am not being challenged and I would like to train with people my age. When I was in MMA I would spare and I had the tedency to just go right into the ring and started swining widely and I would tire out quick. My teacher would show me no mercy and as soon as I got sleepy he would start beating the hell out of me... throwing punches to my face, chest... ruthlessly. Also the MMA is more affordable. Okay, at my old gym for 100$ monthly I receive to ATTEND every day and I receive to partake in the actual MMA class and also the boxing and muay thai class. I also receive to arrive in and work out on the gym equipment any timeI want. But at this new dojo I have to pay 50$ MONTHLY for only one class a week and 125 dollars for unlimited classes a week. Its a total ripoff , at the old gym when my mom could not afford to pay for the full MMA class she just put me in boxing for 40$ monthly and I would attend the entire week...every day. But now at this place my mom for only one class my mom would have to spend 50$ which would only receive me ONE CLASS (which last an hour which usually has a lot of idle time) a week. So I want to go back to my old Gym even though its farther away from my new home than this new dojo she put me in. In order to go to my old Gym I would leave from school and go on the bus which doesn't really take to long. However taking the bus it does take a while to receive home (about an hour). But at my new dojo, well its within walking distance but I don't care. It is not the place for me. My mom wont let me go to my old gym because she claims its to far away from the home. How do I convince her otherwise. She said that if I go I would only be able to attend on the weekends but not during school days. If I have to make that compromise so be it, but on days were I dont have a lot of homework why can't I be able to attend the MMA class?

Open Question: Why can't I get any visual from my DVD player?

One night, I watched a movie. The next day, I tried to watch another movie, but the DVD player wasn't working properly. The picture was in black and white and it kept scrolling. I purchased a new player, and it had the same problem. Today, I purchased a new TV thinking that something happened to the visual plug in the back. Now I have sound but no visual at every. I've done everything. I've tried every the AV cords in my home, using the old DVD player, and have called several people. Does anyone think they know what is up and how I can fix this? If it helps, the TV is an Emerson 32" LCDHDTV model LC320EMX, and the DVD player is an LG DN898 Video.

Open Question: 16 & pregnant with 2!?

I used what is below to answer a qestion about teen pregnacy; yes it is ture and its about me; I really jus want to knaow what others think about it and if any on has any adivce. Im scared and dont really know where to turn. i have support i still jus dont know; found out on the 3rd of march that i was 11 weeks pregnant; that makes me about 12 weeks and a few days pregant at 16! Yesterday me and my boyfriend/baby's dad have been together for a year; i found out the news well i was at the doctors i thought i had the flu; normally my BF goes with me to the dr know matter what it for but he could go because he had to help his mom; so i went with my mom; when the dr told me i was pregnant i was dumbfounded; devistated; scared; shocked and ever other overwhelming emotion you can think about; i really did'nt have to go threw the telling my mom thing becaause she was there and she was pretty underdtanding; i mean i would say she was extreamly glad because what mom of a 16 year old would be. So teh car ride home was pretty qiut besides me saying i was sorry and my mom saying its okay we'll receive threw this; so i went home and cried for about three hours; my boyfriend pretty much lives with me and when he came home he seen me crying; (i had not called him or said anything to him) and asked what was wrong; i jus stayed quit affraid of his reaction; i grabed his hand and held it and then put it up to my stomach; he looked at me like are you jokeing then said what are you saying; i told him that i was pregnant and he looked at me grabed my hands and kissed them. we laid in the same place for about 15 min in silence; he sat up and said im going to my mas do you wanna arrive with me. i told him no so he kissed me then my stomach and left' about 45 min later he showed back up to my home with his mom(he also has a one year old daughter and has recently been lied to about a pregnacie.) so she asked to talk to my mom and then asked if i would take a home pregancy test. i had no problem takeing it, it jsu felt like i was trusted; when the test came back positive she gave me hug and said that she would help me woth anything i needed. So that was really the difficult part telling the close people to me. And yeasteray we told his daughters mom, we figred it would be best to tell her before anyone of are other friends; i respect her and adore there daughter. i thought she would be mad and have an attitude for with but she did'nt she pulled me aside while he was playing with his daughter and said i wants a kids to always know each other; (im not going to use the childs real name sick jus say mia) She said that mia's baby brother or sister and i want her to always no him or her. So that also was something i was glad did'nt turn out bad. And today i guess would be the hardest days. i went for my first ultrasound and was told i was pregnant with twins. so not only am i 16 and pregnant but when its every said and done. sick have 2 babys. the only other people that know are our really close friends and family. of course we plan on telling others were jus going to take it day by day. im very scared knowing that im going to be bringing in two new lives in to this messed up world being so young haveing nothing for my possess being a sohmore in high school im very scared. i want to give these babys the best life possiable and give them eveything they need for now while i carry them in my womb to the day they meet there maker. and i would adore to ahve the white picket fence and the high school sweetheart dream i live in the world of single mothers and devorce' i dotn want to ever look my kids hurt or scared or upset but they will. i am affraid of loosing my boyfriend and haveing to do this alone and im affraid of loosing my friends and my life but i guess when you have sex with out protection anything is possable. like getting pregnant at 16 and beoming pregnat with twins.

Open Question: 97 toyota camry v6 wont start?

I had bought this car from a private party today. it has 212k miles, (risky I know but the car drove better than a honda civic I had that had 195k miles) no leaks, no nothing, everything looked fine. the guy I bought it from kept telling me it had no mechanial problems. it drove like new. as I left their home, the car was shaking. not heavily, but just enough. I drove about not even a mile, and the car shook even harder, the steering wheel got stiff, and the brakes didn't work, and a check engine light appeared on the dash. the car lost power, but it didn't close off, it just stopped accelerating. I turned the car off for 10 mins, and it sttarted back up just fine. so since I just bought it I figured it needed a tune up and possibly a new battery, so I thought nothing of it. the car continued to shake, which again, I thought a tune up would fix this problem. about 15-20 mins later, the car stops accelerating, and the car engine shuts off. I put the hazrd lights on, and about 20 mins later, the battery completely dies. I figured if I got a jump it would start back on fine. wrong. the car now is in NON running condition, it won't start. the engine turns, but won't start. I have no idea if the engine is done or its another problem. I was assuming it needs a new altenator, but I really don't want to think really negative and go to conclusions that the engine is finished. before I bought the car, I had the engine running for a good 30 mins with no problem. (and the day prior it was running for about 30 mins no problem). had white smoke coming out the exhaust. engine ran smooth. I have no idea what the problem is. we checked the starter , it wasn't that. any suggestions ?

Open Question: What colour to repaint my tiles?

Hi, I'm about to buy my parents home. My Mum has brown laminate cupboards and baby poo green tiles (sorry about the description!), I HAVE to change them. I'm going to paint the cupboards with laminate paint white, the walls will be a sort of light coffee colour. But I don't know what to do about the tile colour. I thought something darker to offset the walls so they don't blend, but don't want to make it too dark as the home is an older darker home. I'm into black wrought iron and dark polished floor boards (not done yet), my lighting will be a black wrought iron look with whitish coloured glass shades. Originally I wanted a darker Christmassy red glass splashback, but they are too exspensive, and red tiles I don't think would look good. Help!!! This is driving me nut, and my husband is no help at every. Thanks!!

Open Question: What sort of animal is this?

A few minutes ago, my dad called me to our back window to look at the "big white fox" he had seen in the woods behind our home. After examining it for a while, I noticed it wasn't a fox or a dog at every; it was a big cat. The animal came closer, out of the woods, and into our yard. I was able to judge its size. It was probably two feet tall at the shoulders. It's fur was short and completely white. It had a thick tail with short fur as well. What sort of animal was this? What cat breeds have these features? I live in the north-eastern part of Maryland if that helps.

Open Question: Isn't it odd how Dems took the "we won, get over mentality" until they proved themselves corrupt?

In 2009 everybody knew Dems could do whatever they wanted. Republicans didn't have the ability to filibuster ANYTHING. With this power the Democratically controlled Senate passed a No Special Interest Left Behind "reform" bill that included every kinds of backroom deals and special exemptions for certain groups and states. The White home even personally negotiated a deal with PhRMA that took the prospect of cheaper prescription drugs off the table as early as June 2009. Now home Democrats are being asked to vote for this sh*tty bill and then "fix" it via reconciliation. No one is pretending the Senate bill isn't very sh*tty, it is.............otherwise why would they need to "fix" it?? But Democrats have started pretending like the reason they watered the bill down so badly in 2009 was to appease Republicans............isn't this blatantly untrue??

Sorry for bad grammar etc. Thanks x When I pulled into the crazy caffeine car park Melanie was already waiting next to the door of the store. “What happened to you today?” “It's a long story, I'll tell you inside. Where's Julian?” I asked noticing he wasn't there. “He's running tardy, he's gonna meet us inside.” Melanie had been my pal since I moved to Sommerset, I remember my first day of school I didn't know anyone and I was petrified. Melanie had offered to show me round every of my classes, I thought she looked nice; with crystal blue eyes, black hair that looked blue in the sunlight and a row of freckles over the bridge of her nose. She talked non cease the full day and I barely said a word, but the next day she skipped over to me and I felt a connection. I could be myself with her. We had been friends ever since and shared every of our secrets, so she might be a little crazy with her Michael Jackson obsession but she was fun. When Michael Jackson died last summer she was distraught and didn't leave her home for days she sat and listened to his music every day long eating ice-cream, it was like she had just been dumped or something. I began to receive a bit worried but she's fine now and she had a tribute for him, we got together some of his fans and played his music and danced then Melanie said a few words whilst crying hysterically. I assumed her obsession would be over after that but she is still wears one white glove occasionally and listens to his music non-cease. We walked inside and went to our booth at the back of the store, it was were we always sat. Crazy Caffeine was our place, we had been coming since it opened four years ago. It's so chilly, it's meant to be really good for your T zone layer.” Julian had been me and Melanie's pal for almost three years, not a lot of the guys wanted to be his pal because he was a little on touch with his feminine side (okay he is completely gay). He didn't care that none of the guys wanted to be his pal, playing football wasn't his idea of fun. Julian would rather be at the mall shopping, he was cute with chocolate brown hair which he straightened daily and a little button nose. He was always wearing the latest trends today he had on a pair of black skinny jeans and a blazer type thing. “You will not believe what has happened to Silver!” Melanie almost screamed. “Ohmygod, what happened to her?” Julian asked, “Uh guys, I am here you know.” I said “Oh sorry Silver, so what happened?” “She got a date with Zach carter!” Melanie shouted. “Mel calm down.” I noticed the curious looks we were getting from people at other tables. “You are so lucky Silver.” Julian said dreamily, “He is so totally gorgeous.” “He's not on your team Jules.” Melanie said sympathetically. Open Question: Isn't it strange how the closer this healthcare bill gets to passage, the less details you hear about it?

All you hear about is that Democrats are about to pass a "historic" piece of legislation. Interestingly, the Senate bill the home is being asked to voted on STILL contains the Cornhusker Kickback, the Labor Loophole, the Louisiana Purchase, the PhRMA deal (made by the White home personally) and who knows what else. Obama has been flying a round the country on his "the time for talk is over" tour constantly talking about how this bill needs to be passed. He has indicated he wants the special deal for Nebraska removed during reconciliation but has said the Louisiana Purchase gets to stay. (He never comments on the Labor Loophole or the PhRMA deal............hmmmm) Has anybody actually SEEN the details of this reconciliation bill?? Carter Atkins reclined in the lounge seat, running his fingers on Savannah's leg. She giggled, but felt a little bit uncomfortable. She didn't want to sound like a prude, but it was difficult to receive used to him touching her suggestively. She liked it, but it was still awkward. Carter stared at Savannah's beautiful face. Just a month ago he was taking her to Homecoming, now he was her boyfriend. Reese McKinley and Elisha Carpenter jumped into Andy's grotto pool, splashing water onto Carter and Savannah. The fresh coolness of the water relaxed Carter. It was a perfect day to go swimming. Even though it was October 15, it still felt like summer. He stared at Savannah's perfect body in a white bikini with cherries on it. Her eyes were shielded with her favorite Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, that she had gotten from her step-dad because they were given to him at his job, and her feet were clad in sandals. He leaned over and kissed the part of the cheek where her beauty mark was located. She smiled warmly at him, lifting up her shades to reveal her blackish-brown eyes. They were soulful to look at. He climbed in the seat next to her, putting his hand on her torso and stroking it. Savannah was beautiful inside and out. She always knew how to put a grin on someone's face. Even when she was shy at times she was still able to perk up. It was beginning to be around that time when the days were getting shorter. It was 6:35 and the sky was getting darker. It was still bright out, but not as bright as before. His best pal Andy came out with a bottle of limeade and six plastic solo cups stacked together. He poured one for Savannah first, handing it to her. She thanked him and took a sip from it. He then handed one to Carter, who took a longer sip. They were doing a double standard. It was okay for girls to kiss, but not guys? She hated the media. "You two suck." she muttered below her breath. She hated when people did things like this. She remember when she was in the six grade watching something about Ellen DeGeneres and a girl made a remark about her being a "lesbo". Savannah was so mad at the girl that she kicked her and ended up getting sent to the office. Savannah once called a boy "gay" as a joke, but the teacher got mad and told her it was wrong to make fun of someone for being gay. That it was sexual harassment. Ever since then, she had been yelling at kids who made gay slurs. "I'm sorry, Savannah." Carter tried, leaning over to kiss her. "No," Savannah said, scooting over. "I'm black, you're white. It's weird for us to kiss." Just then Andy's mom, Arlene, came in. She had long black hair and caramel eyes. Savannah could look where Andy got his looks from. Only his skin was a warm honey color and hers was pale. "Andy," said, putting her hands on her hips. "Who ordered every those porn videos on demand?" Andy shrugged. "I dunno." She laughed. Open Question: Are jack russels nippy dogs?

I am not asking about typical dog traits when they play, but i am asking specifically anyone WHO HAS OWNED a jack russel terrier and preferably has had it around big dogs or other dogs. perhaps she is still adjusting to the new home- or is a jack russel perticularily nippy when they play- I watch the sings of anger and dont look any but she is so quick I cant receive a good look at her eyes if they are showing whites and her tail barely wags anyway so i cant look if its wagging, and her teeth show but like i said she is so quick I just cant tell if she is aggressive to my other dog or if she is just rough housing.
